Daily quote

Whenever a thought arising in one’s mind:

“How horrible, how wonderful, that’s not right or fair, how terrible, or how beautiful”;

whenever one experiences the arising of outrage, condemnation, judgement, or ecstasy or bliss;

It is one interacting with oneself.  One reacts to what one thinks are outside occurrences, thinking that they are truly the source of one’s reaction. However the reality is that the events on the outside are only catalysts for one to react to what is within oneself.  If one wishes for peace, love and harmony then one must be those qualities oneself, and then the reactions to the outside stimulus will diminish.
