Nowhere does Buddhism admit the existence of a Creator God, or Supreme Being, nor does it hold that there are any other superhuman beings worthy of worship. Original Buddhism had no temples, no altars or sacrifices, no priests, no prayers, no rituals, and no religious rites of any kind. Buddhism does not claim divine origin or superhuman intervention of any kind, but is, by its own account, the product of human endeavor.



Allan R. Bomhard (1943 CE-), Allan R. Bomhard is an American linguist. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was educated at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hunter College, and the City University of New York, and served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. He currently resides in Florence, South Carolina. He has studied the controversial hypotheses about the underlying unity among the proposed Nostratic and Eurasiatic language families.
