your mind ground must
be even and straight,
and your mind and speech
must be in accord.
Since your mind and speech
are straightforward,
your states are thus
consistent from start to finish,
without any petty details.
Fayan Wenyi (1067 CE-1120 CE), Qingliang Wenyi also known as Fayan Wenyi is a Chinese Buddhist monk in the early 10th century. Wenyi was born in Yuhang. His secular surname is Lu. Fayan school, one of the main philosophical schools of Zen Buddhism was created by him.
